Course Overview
Orthobiologic therapy — platelet-rich plasma (PRP), bone marrow aspirate concentrate (BMAC), micro-fragmented adipose tissue (MFAT), alpha-2-macroglobulin (A2M), hyaluronic acid, platelet-rich fibrin (PRF), prolotherapy, and cell-free preparations such as MSC-derived exosomes — has become a routine part of the musculoskeletal referral conversation. TWI 206 teaches the field-level landscape, the FDA framework, and the DPT/DC's collaborative role. This advanced course goes one layer deeper: how the underlying biology actually produces a measurable clinical signal, how to read the primary evidence critically, and how to run a bidirectional referral loop with an injecting physician you have vetted. Each module walks the full physiologic chain — from receptor engagement or platelet activation through cellular and tissue-level remodeling to systemic downstream effect and measurable clinical signal.
