Course Overview

TWI 206 Regenerative Biologics is an advanced clinical course that walks DPTs and DCs through the biological rationale, regulatory reality, and procedural mechanics of platelet-rich plasma (PRP), exosome and cell-signaling therapies, and medical ozone. Participants study tissue-healing biology, PRP classification systems (Dohan Ehrenfest / DEPA, PAW, Mishra), pre-procedure ultrasound screening, patient selection, informed consent, post-procedure rehabilitation programming, and outcome measurement. The course draws a sharp line between DPT-performed procedures — PRP injection under ultrasound in jurisdictions where the state practice act permits it under a supervising-physician collaborative agreement — and DPT-coordinated procedures such as exosome infusions and systemic ozone therapies that remain physician-performed. Documentation, liability, scope verification, and collaborative-network content prepare participants to integrate regenerative biologics into a performance-medicine practice without stepping outside their license.
